We're thrilled to announce that we've implemented several updates to our platform. Your feedback has been invaluable, and we've been diligently working to ensure a smoother experience for you.
Here are some of the bigger updates:
1. Navigating with Ease: Introducing a new feature in system navigation: anchor links! We're excited to announce the integration of anchor links, helping you to effortlessly guide users to specific sections within your content.
Here's how it works: simply select the text you want to anchor and click on the new flag icon in the text formatting menu. Give your anchor a name.
Next, choose the text that will serve as the access point to your anchored content. Highlight it, click on the link icon (or use Ctrl+K), and select the "Anchor" option. Enter the anchor name you previously set. That's it!
Clicking on this designated text will smoothly redirect users to the anchored section within the system.
2. Level Up Your Search Game: Now, not only can you search for content using titles and tags, but you can also search for systems using words, terms, and phrases from within the content!
With this update, your search results will be more extensive. But how does the new search logic work?
If the term appears in the title, it's prioritized at the top of the search results. Its ranking increases if the system is tagged with the term or if the term is mentioned in the system's content.
Next in line are systems without the term in the title but tagged with it. Their ranking improves if the term is found within the system's content.
Systems that lack the term in the title or tags but have it mentioned in the description will be listed towards the bottom.
Additionally, the frequency of the term in the content influences its ranking in the search results.
It's time to give it a try and start searching!
Here are some of the other updates we made:
1. User Modification Dates Revealed! Wondering when changes were last made? Now, when you hover over users who modified systems, policies, or training materials, you'll see the precise date of their last modification. Stay informed with our latest update!
2. PDF Manual TOC: Simplified Numbering! Say goodbye to confusion! We've removed automatic numbering from the PDF manual table of contents to avoid any clashes with your folder organization. Enjoy a clearer, more streamlined experience with our latest update.
3. Colorful Clarity: Never guess again! We've added descriptive captions to our status colours, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding at a glance.
This update will assist our colour-blind users in identifying the colours or statuses of their systems in systemHUB.
It's important to note that these colours don't have any default meanings. Users can internally decide among themselves what each colour represents and use them according to their preferences.
